ARTIST INFORMATION

IMAGE SIZE PREFERENCE

Please place a 1, 2, 3, and 4 in each of the size boxes below to indicate the order of preference for the size of your image square.

- All 8 x 8, 10 x 10 and 12 x 12 artists should be working on their squares both days. 6 x 6 artists should complete their square on Saturday. There is a single assistant limit for 10 x 10's and 12 x 12's only.

ARTIST INFORMATION & PROPOSED IMAGE

- Chalk will be provided. However, if you are using a predominant color in your design you may want to purchase that color before the Event.
- Artwork for the Event must be appropriate for public viewing and the image may not be a direct advertisement for the sponsor.
- Images must be a square format. The artist selection committee will work directly with each artist to determine the square size.
- All participating artists receive an event t-shirt. Please indicate your t-shirt size below:

IMAGE UPLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

Please upload a sketch and/or brief description of your proposed street painting image for our Event. No artists will be accepted without a sketch and/or brief description of their proposed street painting image. If you are doing a reproduction (your own work or the work of another artist), please submit a copy of the original image along with your sketch/description. We need your sketch/description to help facilitate matching your image to a sponsor. Your application is not complete without it.

PLEASE NOTE: In order for this form to submit successfully, image file sizes must be less than 10MB and saved in JPEG format (and have a file extension ending in either "jpg" or "jpeg").

I (guardian if under 18) grant a non-exclusive license to ITALIAN STREET PAINTING MARIN to reproduce, in any medium, my art. I further license ITALIAN STREET PAINTING MARIN to re-use, publish and republish photography of me (including minors) in any medium. I further grant ITALIAN STREET PAINTING MARIN use of my name (including minors), biographical description and likeness in any media.

2020 Artist Application

Event Dates: June 6th & 7th

APPLICATION DEADLINE: APRIL 1, 2020

Approximately 100 artists will be accepted. Early submission is recommended to ensure consideration!

ISPM will provide a limited number of travel expense scholarships and lodging will be provided for select out-of-town artists. 

Application deadline will only be extended if there are artist openings available. 

ITALIAN STREET PAINTING MARIN – Celebrating Creativity!

The 2020 event will highlight the art of street painting without a particular theme! Bring us your ideas representing the past, present or future of our universe, our world and the human experience.

Although the Event is not a competition, a Review Committee evaluates your work and selects participating artists. If you are selected as an artist for the 2020 event, you must render the image you included with your application form. Any image change must be submitted no later than Friday, May 8, 2020, and be approved by ISPM!

Please remember, sponsors and artists are partners! The sponsor purchases the space on which the artist creates an image, and their name is displayed above the image. Because the art created for your square represents the sponsor, it is very important that your subject matter be something that the sponsor will consider a positive partnership. Sponsors do not want their name associated with images of violence, gore, politics or major controversy. Italian Street Painting Marin must consider the sponsors’ concerns in our artist selection process.
